"Access to a Doctor Denied"

My wife saw a doctor last week as her breathing was difficult. She had a bad cough and a slight temperature. The doctor said there was nothing wrong but return if you do not improve.

Over the weekend she got worse.

Barking cough, saw throat, difficulty in breathing, pain in her back and a temperature.

This morning the receptionist denied my wife an appointment with a doctor or access to the surgery until she had taken a covid 19 test.

There are no covid 19 restrictions in the United Kingdom.

My wife has been denied access to a doctor by a receptionist who is enforcing rules that do not exist.
