"Great transport service"

About: Antrim Area Hospital / Accidents & Emergency Northern Ireland Ambulance Service / Patient care services Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick children / Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

(as a parent/guardian),

My son had been sick in bed fell on the stairs we don’t know if he fainted then took a seizure  or what happened. We got him to Antrim hospital where he was admitted immediately his oxygen levels had dropped to 60,  CT scan showed no bleeds thankfully. Our son was then transfer by your team to the royal. The care we  received from your team going to the royal & returning from the royal was amazing the compassion, care, support & empathy shown to us at such unsure testing time was first class by Linda, Eugene, Dervel & her driver

On behalf of NISTAR I would like to thank-you for taking the time to provide us with this feedback. I have passed your comment onto both teams and I know it will mean so much to them to receive such a positive response. That sounds like a very distressing and uncertain time for you and I'm glad that we were able to provide some care and support.

Good afternoon Katokane21

I would like to begin by thanking you for taking the time to share your experience of the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service. It was reassuring to learn of your positive experience and the professionalism of the paramedics and team involved surrounding the transfer of your son from Antrim Hospital to The Royal. As an organisation we are committed to consistently show compassion, professionalism and respect for the patients we care for.

I would like to share your feedback with the clinicians who attended to you on the day and in order to locate them I would require the following information:

Date and approximate time of the incident

If you are happy to share this information I can be contacted at:

I hope your son is recovering well.

Best wishes

Ruairi Cummings
