"Treatment for dental pain"

About: Glasgow Dental Hospital and School / Dental

(as a service user),

I attended the Glasgow Dental hospital recently with an abscess giving me severe pain. Both dentist and nurse were great. I have a fear of needles and this was taken into account. The dentist included me in the decision making giving me three options and supported my choice. Walked out fee of pain and a course of treatment. Thank you all

Dear Beezer1973,

I am sorry to hear have been struggling with a painful abscess. However, I was very pleased to read that the Dentist took into consideration your anxiety with needles, whilst including you in the decision making process.

I am very pleased to hear your pain has now resolved. All of the team at Glasgow Dental Hospital will be delighted to read about your experience. Thank you very much for taking the time to post a comment.

Best wishes

Fiona

Dear Beezer 1973,

Thank you for your kind words in your message re your treatment, we will pass the information on to the team.

Many patients find dental treatment, when they are in pain, difficult to tolerate but our teams always do their best to empathise and listening to what their patients are telling them to relieve anxiety.

We hope that your infection has been resolved and that you remain pain free.

Best Wishes

Karen
