"I felt belittled and singled out"

About: East Surrey Hospital / Maternity

(as a service user),

Awful service received today. As a single mum I felt belittled and singled out because I had to bring my daughter to the appointment due to no one being able to look after her (half term, thought they may be a bit more understanding) was told I would have to wait whilst they rebook appointment was then told they wouldn’t be able to fit me in for a while now, as another hospitals system was down and they were accepting their patients too.

Told the receptionist not to worry, I’m sure my consultant will be impressed as will now make more work for them. Seen other couples with kids in the department but singled me out when I turned up with my daughter on my own.
