"My son’s care"

About: Ward 19, Children’s ward, University Hospital Wishaw

(as a parent/guardian),

My son was referred urgently to ward 19, University Hospital Wishaw, in February 2023. The nursing and medical team were outstanding in their care and treatment of him.  Upon realising he may have had a serious health condition, they referred him to the Royal Hospital for Children where he was assessed the next day. Myself and my family are extremely grateful for their prompt assessment of the situation and the actions they took to get him the most appropriate intervention. Thank you to everyone involved.
