"Suspected seizure"

About: East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust / Emergency ambulance Lincoln County Hospital / Accident and emergency Lincoln County Hospital / Neurology

(as a service user),

Ambulance crews, nurses and doctors in A&E first class.

I found the telephone appointment with consultant virtually a waste of time. I could have read everything online. The consultant said they would arrange an appointment for an EEG and an MRI scan.

It’s over 2 weeks now, does it really take this amount of time to find space in those departments?

I have to say that service like this is deserving of criticism.

Perhaps someone should ask the consultant why they have been so slow in arranging this appointment.

Dear sunfc86

Thank you for getting in touch. I was pleased to read your comments concerning our Ambulance colleagues from EMAS, as well as the first class treatment in the A&E Dept. I will share this feedback with said teams.

This matter has been flagged to me as the Neurology Service Manager, due to your feedback title of suspected seizure. I am sorry you were unhappy with your experience and the timescales since then with awaited tests. I believe you are referring to our SDEC virtual clinic managed by my colleagues in Acute Medicine. If you would like to make contact with me in the first instance so we can discuss further and explore the specifics, so I can coordinate the right people looking into this, that would be most helpful. My contact details are - Michael.foreman@ulh.nhs.uk

Kind Regards
