"Discusting service"

About: The Island Surgery

Phoned this morning to get an appointment to see a doctor but the best I was offered was a telephone appointment with a practice nurse or a paramedic which is no good to me, to see a doctor face to face I would have to wait until 4th July, over a month away, the receptionist was very patronising towards me, she told me to phone back tomorrow morning at 8, I can guarantee that when I do call I will be given the runaround again, disgusting service, shame on them and the NHS.

Dear Patient, I am sorry that you felt the need to complain about our service and that your experience was not of a standard that you would expect. May I reassure you that complaints are treated seriously and used as an opportunity to learn and improve our services wherever possible.

You are welcome to discuss your concerns with me by telephone or in person at the practice.

Jackie Brown, Practice Manager.
