"Very professional staff in female surgical"

About: Daisy Hill Hospital / Elective Overnight Stay Centre/Gynaecology Ward Daisy Hill Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I was taken into hospital at the beginning of May after I fell and fractured my pelvis. Since coming up to female surgical, my experience has been great.  The staff are amazing. Very friendly and professional. They have the staff down to a T on this ward. Nothing is too much trouble to them. Any questions or queries I have, they are more than happy to answer me. The bed is comfortable but I'm not sleeping great at all but that is down to my injury and the pain. The ward is clean and the cleaners are in twice a day cleaning around. Beds are stripped every day. The food can be a bit repetitive and could do with some changes to the menu. The only thing that I could criticize would be the wet room/shower, there is nowhere inside the shower room to hang your belongings. And the pressure from the shower is far too strong. The water just goes everywhere. The bars in the wet room be drenched and slippy. This is something that needs changed.

Other than that, female surgical has been very good.
