"Admitted with pain in back and arm"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Acute Medical Unit (AMU)

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

Visited my physio with pain in my back, shoulder and right arm, the pain was so severe that my physio recommended that I go to ED. I spent 1 day there and was then admitted to AMU. Tests were carried out and I had a disk out in my back, my infection markers were high and further tests were needed to establish were the infection was coming from. Thankfully I am now on steroids which are targeting the infection and I hope to get home within the next day or two. The staff have been brilliant,  so busy but very attentive.

I am glad to hear you had a positive experience with the staff on the ward, and felt they were so attentive during your care. I am glad your treatment has been going well and hope you get home over the next few days. Wishing you all the best in your recovery.
