Anything else?
After being diagnosed with cancer, I was assigned to a consultant. I have, in the last 6 months, been subject to unprofessional, unethical and distressing behaviour. The care was disastrous, I was left with no pain management, during my original treatment, to the point where I now am phobic in my reaction to it. I have been mislead and uninformed as to the progress of my condition, told that they have 'wasted enough time and resources on me', told I do have bladder cancer, I don't, then I do, then I don't etc and much more. Finally, I was booked to see a surgical consultant in Sheffield, which I was very pleased about, I was afraid of regular treatment and my oncologist knew this. However, after the distress of the last few months, after getting my hopes up, after travelling to another hospital, taking yet another day off work, I was floored when they told me that surgery was not possible because my tumour is too big. They told me that my oncologist would have known this to be the case, so I cannot comprehend why he would send me to another hospital to get this information. I am dying, and he wasted another two weeks of my life with this pointless appointment. I have have no option now but to have the treatment that I'm so afraid of, or I will simply die. No care for the patient, just the disease. Disgusting behaviour from so-called human beings..
