"Awful A&E experience"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Emergency Medicine

(as the patient),

I was taken into Aberdeen's A&E department - I hope I never have to go back! The staff don't seem to interact with the patients  - only one introduced themselves and was friendly. But the winner of this shocking example of care was the Dr I gave my history to - I found them to be so rude and  in general clearly not interested. I get Dr's are tired and overworked but rudeness, lack of emotional awareness and compassion I cannot tolerate!!

I hope I never meet this awful individual again.

Dear Hadenoughofpoorcare

I am very sorry to hear of your recent experience at our department. Your experience falls below what we would expect our colleagues to deliver.

Can you please contact gram.nhsgrampianfeedback@nhs.scot so we can look into this further.

Regards

Fiona

Interim Chief Nurse for Medicine & Unscheduled Care
