"Friendly and patient staff on stroke rehab"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Elderly Medicine (Wards 51, 52, 54,55, 57, 8a & 2a)

(as a relative),

Can you please pass on my thanks to the staff on Ward 56 and 57, for looking after my mum, since her stroke in January

The staff on the ward, all grades, were patient and friendly

Only thing to improve was the communication. For example,  mum had an infection in her wrist and was prescribed antibiotics but we only found out days after they started.

I do hope the staff continue to get the praise and encouragement for working with patience when the patients are not feeling compliant due to their condition

Please share this email with all who cared for her. She's off to a Nursing Home today so hope discharge goes smoothly.

Thankyou

Dear NaomiS

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback for Ward 56 and 57.

I will share this feedback with both teams and ensure all staff are aware.

We wish your mum all the best in her Nursing Home.

Thank you for highlighting communication as an area for improvement. Both Senior Charge Nurses will work on this to improve patient care within our Stroke Rehab wards.

Kind Regards

Rebecca Fulton
