Anything else?
First Dr I saw said the proposed treatment was unlikely to work. The next Dr, who saw me for less than 5 minutes, decided to go ahead anyway. He said that he would write to me with a prescription and review in 3 months. It took 6 weeks for the letter to arrive, the prescription wasn't included and my local optician said the letter didn't make sense. It took several days to get a response from the hospital but eventually he was told the details of a prescription and Aintree said they would send a copy to me. They were also supposed to send a voucher as this is a surgeons prescription. Neither item has arrived, 10 weeks after my appointment. I had to pay £125 myself for the glasses and guess what - it doesn't work! It has been left to my local optician to try and sort out the mess. Unfortunately the Drs at Aintree don't return their calls though. I am not happy that I am out of pocket because the Drs don't speak to each other and the Admin staff can't send the correct paperwork in a timely manner. As usual the 3 month review isn't happening. Previous 3 month reviews have taken up to a year.
