About: Eastcourt Lane Surgery

People are very quick to complain about their doctor. This is why I felt it was so important to outline how amazing my doctor and her staff are. Most doctors' surgeries just treats you as a number. I really feel that my doctor cares about each patient individually. She helped diagnose my husband with gall stones years ago, and recently her and her team literally saved my life. I got a severe kidney infection. I called 111 and 999, but both let me down citing I wasn't a priority as I was young. It started when I called the surgery, whom I can always get through to, and can always get an appointment in a timely manner. I explained the situation, how ill I was, and how no one wanted to help me. The receptionist kindly listened to me with kindness and empathy and went above the call of duty and called the doctor on her day off. The doctor did no more but got a paramedic to visit my home as I was too poorly to travel, which allowed me to get the treatment I so urgently needed and was denied by the NHS initially. Without these people's care and action, I would have died as I was one day away from septic shock. I can not thank the doctor or her team enough. I also find the surgery very clean and well maintained. I feel so lucky to have such a strong and good doctor.
