"Wonderful staff- thankyou"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford)

My wife, Jennifer Hallam, slipped in the shower and opened a large wound to the bone yesterday morning.

We were in A&E for a total of 6 hours and our hearts went out to an overwhelmed staff as the wave of patients increased throughout the day. That is the bad news!

The good news is that the people who treated my wife, from triage to treatment were of the highest possible quality and completely nullified the frustration of such a long wait.

They were cheerful, professional, caring, humorous- in short the very best that you can expect. Britain at its very best! Look after them well!!!
