"Care of a Loved One"

About: St Andrews Community Hospital / Palliative care

(as a relative),

Ward 2 St. Andrews cared for a my Dad in his last weeks of life. They provided great care and support to my dad and my family. Nothing was too much effort and always had time to update us.

They allowed me to carry out the care of my dad when we were into visit, as well as giving us time to spend with our dad, but discreetly being in the background when required.

It was a calming area and I couldn’t have asked for a better place for my dad to spend his last days of life.

Staff were very helpful and although I can’t remember them all, I would like to thank, Staff Nurses Alec, Susan, Rachael and Nicola.

Thank you so much for allowing us the time to spend with my dad.
