I struggle to manage 4 chronic illnesses with no family or care support. This leads to periods of extremely low mood and desperation to bring matters to a close.
In one such event, two weeks ago, I was fortunate enough to received support from the CATs team, Police Scotland officers (Dumfries) and the housing manager at the flat I live at. Things I felt had come to an impossible position. I was fortunate to be surrounded by people who understood and wanted to help.
I was eventually convinced to go into hospital for assessment. Although I was only there 24 hours, I left hospital, with the ward staff, consultants and CATs in a far better state of mind. People just understanding and acknowledging your predicament can help you muster energy to carry on.
Thank you everyone, especially Sandra, Karen, Gillian, Faye & Dr McKenzie. Your support is/was greatly appreciated.
