"Mental health care in A&E"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Accident & emergency

(as the patient),

I came in an Ambulance because my Mental Health had deteriorated badly.

I was eventually met by 2 nurses. While one typed the other was very condescending and I felt like I was being interrogated in a police way rather, than being a caring and thoughtful attitude towards my illness.

I did not want to be talked to anymore by them and they would not agree to me saying I think I need to be in a ward as I am very unwell. I was visually shaking and very distressed.

They still did not agree and left me to go home.

Felt very let down and they really need to assess their attitude to unwell people who are not below them but equal.
