My daughter was recently a patient in ward 204 following a serious illness abroad where she was repatriated back to Scotland for ongoing care.
The medical and nursing care in ward 204 was outstanding. They were caring and compassionate to both my daughter and I, recognising how stressful our time had been. They demonstrated excellent family centred, holistic care at an incredibly high standard.
They made us feel welcome, introduced themselves and explained everything. They went above and beyond to make us relaxed. The nurses, Maura and Sandie, recognised how nervous my daughter was with procedures and they spent time supporting her with these. Austin also had a great bedside manner and helped to make us feel supported.
As a nurse myself I just wanted to pass on that I was so impressed with the ward in general. The atmosphere, the care and the cleanliness. Well done.
"Impressed with the atmosphere, the care and the cleanliness"
