Anything else?
My 19year old daughter was admitted to royal Preston hospital on 26/7/13 after being involved in a rtc. The care she received was excellent in A&E however once leaving there and being admitted to ward 2A I felt a complete lack of patient care and I felt I was not kept informed of her progress or treatment. After a few days she was moved to the rapid assessment ward where her treatment was excellent and I was kept up to date with what was happening, later that day she was moved to ward 4 which was even worse the 2A. I had to ask the nurse on 4 occasions what was happening with my daughter. On my daughters discharge today she was made to wait 3 hours sat in a chair suffering back and head pains just because they needed her bed. After getting her medicine I enquired about the wound on her shoulder and the 11 stitches in her head which the discharge nurse knew nothing about. I am absolutely disgusted that I had to come home and ring the ward to try and find out what I should do where upon I was told there was no record of the stitches in her head and I should just get my GP to check it.
