"Breast cancer"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Breast care services Promoting Well Being / Macmillan Information and Support Service

(as the patient),

I was referred to the Glennane unit in December 2022 where I was diagnosed with lobular breast cancer just before Christmas. So began my cancer journey, I had mammograms, biopsies an MRI scan and numerous appointments then finally a mastectomy in Feb 2023. I can honestly say everyone I came into contact with in the Glenanne unit were very caring, compassionate, kind, and professional.

Nothing was too much trouble for them. I am so very grateful to my surgeon Mrs Scally, to my breast care nurses Annie, Katie, Lucy, and to the staff in theatre and the recovery ward and all who were involved with my excellent care during my stay in hospital. Thank you all so much.
