"Minor Injuries Unit - Stirling Community Hospital"

About: Stirling Care Village / Minor injuries unit

(as a service user),

I was referred to minor injuries in Stirling by NHS 24 following an ankle injury today. Within an hour of the referral I was phoned and an appointment assigned 1hr 30mins later.

I attended, was greeted by a volunteer who showed me where to go etc, then a lady at the desk booked me in and, despite a system problem, managed to get me seen straight away. I was initially seen by an ANP who was fantastic, sent me for an X-ray and within 15 mins I was back in a treatment room going over the X-ray. She advised me on where to go from here and made me a physio referral!

In a climate where the NHS is drastically underfunded and staff criminally underpaid, the service I received was fantastic.

Good morning Davidcx23

Thank you for taking time to post feedback on your recent experience in MIU and our colleagues in NHS 24. I am delighted to read your journey to our service was successful with our NHS 24 colleagues, volunteer service and admin team, minor injury practitioner and x- ray teams. You highlight so many people that all are involved to make your visit as positive as possible. I will pass this on to the teams involved.

I hope you are recovering well

Take care

Tracey
