"Wonderful service"

I went for a CT angio today in Omagh. Everything was right on time. The three staff were friendly and efficient, they clearly care a lot about their work and their patients. They spoke with me as one human being to another; none of the forced charm and pleasantry I used to encounter in health care. They were totally natural and did their work very well indeed. I'm a doctor, so I have some idea about interacting with patients and making judgments about how much explanation each patient needs. I had to tell them I was a doctor, firstly so they would know to alter their explanations appropriately and secondly so they would not think me a smart arse if I asked technical questions.

I had two scans, one without and the other with IV contrast. Insertion of IV cannula and administration of contrast were done carefully and efficiently.

The whole process from entering the CT room to going back to dress up took 15 minutes.

Overall excellent service and I cannot praise the staff and the department highly enough.
