"I have perceived genuine human concern and empathy"

About: Victoria Hospital / Physiotherapy Victoria Hospital / Rheumatology Whytemans Brae Hospital / Adult mental health Whytemans Brae Hospital / Community Mental Health Occupational Therapy

(as the patient),

Miraculously, the health professionals that dealt with my case could see beyond my physical condition: they also addressed my depression and hopelessness brought on by the sudden strike of the illness, and some other unresolved issues with myself, which in the end, all things considered, is helping me grow stronger and healthier.

This group of professionals works in a team with Swiss clock precision, which has made things much more bearable for me.

I refer to a group of health professionals, because excellent doctors have seen me.

And specialists in different fields and nursing staff have been unique and outstanding, I have perceived genuine human concern and empathy.

All of this has positively influenced my recovery since I don’t have family around.

Their ability to see through me, just like a member of your family would do, has helped and reassured me throughout the process.

My wholehearted gratitude to:

Rheumatology Clinic at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy:

- Dr MacLaren

- Dr Petridis

Occupational Therapy, Whytemans Brae Hospital, Kirkcaldy:

- Janet - Occupational Therapy Specialist

Psychology Department, Whytemans Brae Hospital, Kirkcaldy:

- Dr  Dickson - Clinical Psychologist

- Rory - Psychology Assistant

Physiotherapy:

- Adam

The cohesive work of these professionals has made a profound positive change in my life, of course, as I feel much better than I was before. And it has also given me a renewed faith in humanity, as I see how these people have committed their lives to the service of others in such a profound manner.
