My then 3-year-old son was struggling massively with speech and understanding so I was referred to Speech Therapy. He was assessed and found to be 2 years behind with his language and understanding and possibly has DLD.
The care, understanding and help given to us by Rebecca, his speech therapist, has been phenomenal. In a short 6 months of work, his language and understanding have improved by 1 year! He is now able to communicate his needs and feelings and has a new sense of confidence.
Without the help and support we have received I hate to think where he would be. My son will always need support and help due to the DLD and I have nothing but confidence that he will always get this from the speech therapy team. I honestly cannot express how grateful we are for everything done for my son. To see his progress is nothing short of amazing.
