"Pregnancy acupuncture"

About: Aberdeen Maternity Hospital

(as the patient),

At 40+6 weeks pregnant, my midwife referred me to a trial acupressure session at Aberdeen Maternity as a natural induction. My midwife at the session, Geraldine, was amazing. She explained every pressure point so I could do it at home, gave me a lovely relaxing massage, and also answered lots of questions I had about being overdue. She really made me feel at ease and I left feeling empowered and ready to face birth.

I then started to get signs of labour the following day, and gave birth to my daughter 3 days later.

Thank you Geraldine! I really wanted to have as natural a birth as possible without any medical induction, and this session was exactly what I needed to do so. I think these sessions should be standard for full-term mums to be, I’ve told all my pregnant friends to go before the trial finishes! 100% recommend it ☺️

Congratulations on the birth of your baby girl

Thank you for taking the time to post this kind feedback. Our Postdates Aromatherapy service is currently running as a pilot project so it is great to hear back from service users as we hope to be able to expand the service

I will pass your positive comments onto Geraldine who I'm sure will be glad to hear this was of benefit to you.
