"I had a great experience"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Accident & Emergency Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Orthopaedics (Wards 10a, 10b, 10c &10d) Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as a service user),

I fell at home and dislocated and fractured my ankle.  Ambulance called and they came quickly and were excellent.

I was taken to QEUH A&E, where staff were excellent. Got x-rayed quickly, fabulous radiographer, quickly taken to resus where orthopaedic doctors reset my ankle.  Straight to CT, then admitted to ward 10D.

Staff all fabulous, but special mention for Diane the HCSW on night shift, so good at her job, friendly and experienced. Nothing was a trouble for any of the staff, who I feel are totally overworked and underpaid.

Theatre staff were excellent and then the fabulous physiotherapists who got me home.  I had a great experience from the NHS.

Dear Linzc75

Thank you for sharing your story. It must have been a very painful experience so I am glad that you are happy with the care you received from NHS Scotland.

If you would like me to pass on your thanks to the ambulance crew that attended may I ask that you contact our Patient Experience Team at sas.feedback@nhs.scot with your name, Care Opinion name and the date and address we attended.

I do hope that you are feeling better.

Kindest regards

David
