Ann from the Elm team was one of my midwives who I seen throughout my pregnancy, at my doctor's surgery. Ann was very good at comforting and reassuring me - I was nervous about needles/sick/pain/labour. She was great at offering advice and tips, from asking for a smaller needle when getting bloods taken/telling me about anti sickness medication/online websites to help relax me.
I felt respected during my appointments and that I was in a safe environment. Ann genuinely cared and had the time to listen to me. Ann has such a kind and caring nature, she’s exactly how a midwife should be. Thank you, Ann!
During my midwife appointments with Ann, I had a student midwife called Fern. Fern was lovely and always asked my consent when carrying anything out. Fern held my hand when I was getting a sweep done, she kept me calm and reassured me. Fern also went that extra mile and popped in to the labour ward at the hospital the morning I had my baby. Me and my husband were really touched by this, it was so thoughtful of her. Fern is lovely and so professional, she will make an amazing midwife!
