About: Altnagelvin Area Hospital / Trauma & Orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I went to my hand therapy appointment at Altnagelvin Hospital, the staff that provided the care were excellent, especially the therapist Sheena, she was very professional.

The only thing that could have been better is the signage around the hospital. I had to ask a staff member where the Hand therapy department was and I was sent to a building which was signposted 'Maternity'. This I found very confusing and I didn't see any signs for the service I needed.

Sheena is indeed a very skilled and respected hand therapist, I'm delighted that you have taken the time to reach out and recognize this. I will share your positive feedback with Sheena.

Signage continues to be a problem throughout the Altnagelvin site. There are plans in place to improve the signage particularly around the South Wing. This will require some investment which we are currently waiting on.
