I feel over the moon to have had my second baby in Peterhead maternity and to have been looked after by the fabulous staff there.
I had a healthy pregnancy and had always planned to have my baby in Peterhead. My midwife Natalie was always able to answer my silly questions and alleviate any worries or nerves I had.
When I went to the unit to have my baby, although it was happening fast I felt so safe and well cared for I didn’t have any fear and was encouraged to focus, follow my body and be in positions I felt comfortable in. When my baby was born it was the biggest relief that she was finally here and I felt as though the staff with me - Hazel, Jean and Natalie were all as happy as we were - which was a lovely feeling.
Postnatally I was checked on by different midwives who were all supportive, caring and kind and the Maternity Care Assistant Sandra who was also great with my daughter and answered my questions about feeding, weight loss and the blood spot test.
I would encourage anyone that can to consider having their baby in the Peterhead unit, we are so lucky to have the facility locally!
Thank you to everyone at Peterhead for all the care and support over the last months.
