"Amazing care provided by NHS staff"

About: Neurology / Ward 23B - Surgical Neurology

(as the patient),

I was admitted into ward 23b - Neurology at Ninewells after an ongoing issue with my back and had to undergo surgery. I have had a horrible previous experience so was really nervous when my GP sent me back to hospital.

My consultant surgeon was so kind and reassuring and explained everything to me in great detail. He spent around 40 minutes with me, answering my questions and putting my mind at ease. He had a huge passion for his work, helped me massively and came to visit me numerous times after my surgery.

The doctors, nurses, HCAs, physio and other staff were all fantastic and I honestly could not fault a single one of them. They were all extremely kind, caring, competent, and all round amazing at their jobs. All the students were also really great and was nice to see them learning some hands on skills. It was also particularly nice to have one of the students come with me and watch over my surgery.

Overall I am extremely grateful to everyone at 23b Neurology, for the care they provided me with.
