About: Victoria Hospital / Cardiology

(as a service user),

I was admitted to CCU with a low heart rate. I was standing at my room door when I heard a member of staff talking about my room number and saying that I have emotionally unstable borderline personality disorder, this is a cardiac ward, and laughing. This was heard from the nurses station. I felt no option but to phone the duty charge nurse to report this. I hope I am never admitted to CCU again.

I am very disappointed to read of your experience in CCU. Over hearing a member of staff talking about you in an unprofessional manner must have been very upsetting and uncomfortable for you. I am pleased you felt able to raise your concerns with the duty charge nurse, I hope you felt listened to and that your concerns were taken seriously.
