"The ward staff are hardworking and approachable"

About: Bluestone Unit (In-patient wards for mental health) / Cloughmore Ward Craigavon Area Hospital / Bluestone Unit (In-patient wards for mental health)

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

Last week, I arrived at Cloughmore Ward as a self-admitted patient. During my previous stay at Bluestone, I was placed in the Bronte Ward, which was alright, but at times it became very noisy and disruptive. However, my experience here at Cloughmore has been great so far. I have a good rapport with everyone, including the other patients.

The self-admission process was straightforward and efficient, and I did not have to wait long, which was fantastic. The ward staff are hardworking and approachable. Whenever I need something, like a cup of tea, they are always ready to assist, and there are plenty of staff on the ward. I feel well cared for and supported by the staff, and I can talk to them comfortably.

In this ward, we have a lot of independence and can make our own choices regarding activities. For example, I usually go to the gym three times a week, and the staff always ask if I want to go, which is excellent. It is remarkable that I can keep up my routine of going to the gym and releasing a lot of pressure when there.
