I had a relative admitted to this ward a couple of months ago and found the level of care they received to be abysmal. Real experience is sadly lacking with the staff we encountered in 2b, and they have so much paperwork to do they really don’t have time to spend with patients who are just left to languish on their beds. Even if they call out for help or press their buzzers it takes far too long for anyone to respond and some poor souls are in pain.
They never seem to know what each other are doing, you might ask for something to be done for a loved one and come in the next day to find someone else on duty who doesn’t know anything about your request, I could go on and on about the level of care in this ward but the whole thing has just sickened me.
If what I saw of ward 2B is a picture of the care in the rest of the hospital then Heaven help us.
