"Lack of understanding"

About: Peterborough City Hospital / Oral surgery Pilgrim Hospital / Oral surgery

(as a service user),

Unhappy about the attitude of all care given by maxo and the dental departments at hospitals. I have a serious problem of my jaw,  head and neck muscles being out of line since  dental work. This has impacted my health and my whole body.

No one seems to understand or they do not want to treat anything but my mental health with tablets that cause a lot of other problems which they want to treat with more pills.

There lies a big problem - the altered state of the soft tissues leaves me with narrowing of the throat so severe that I am unable to swallow tablets. I have given up asking the people who should know what they are doing to rectify  said problem and now they say that its me that is being difficult.

I would appreciate an appointment. I have seen you several times before when my jaw was actually in a lot better state than it is now and wasn't impacting my health.but was still very uncomfortable. And there was no solution then it was left to get worse and for me to cope as best I could.

Further to a previous post. I contacted maxofacial for an appointment to see someone as requested. Getting on nicely, all friendly, yes you can see someone in Nottingham. As I am on my own, sick and cannot travel far, I preferred one closer to home as a surgeon is a surgeon whichever county. Ok not a problem.

Now the management (underlined) of the hospital has requested that I do not contact the hospital again. If they were suffering with what I have been left with they would want it sorting. Infections, swollen face, can't eat, can't wear a denture. I'm sure this would make them feel so very abandoned. Not a good experience.

Forgive those who trespass against us. I have and its made me stronger.
