On February 2023 I became seriously ill and ended up in Craigavon area hospital to have my gallbladder removed. The operation itself was successful but unfortunately I suffered post op complications and had to return for further treatment as my condition deteriorated. After another 15 days in hospital the medical team determined that I qualified to have a PICC line installed meaning I could continue my hospital level treatment at home under the the professional care of the Lurgan District nursing team rather than remaining in hospital for what would have been almost another 5 weeks.
I want to express my sincerest gratitude and commend the Lurgan District Nursing team because the care they provided was truly exceptional and second to none. Every day one of the team came to my home to administer my medication and arrived with a smile on their faces and brought a ray of sunlight along with them. My sincerest thanks to each and every one of you for the professionalism and care you provided to me over the past 5 weeks , including, Margarite, Caroline, Chloe, Janette, Nicola, Emma, Louise, Dearbhla, Laura & Olivia along with trainees Caitlin & Caitlyn and anyone else who I may have accidentally left out who attended my home and provided such exceptional and compassionate care to me. As someone who had to depend on the exemplary services provided by the Lurgan District Nursing Team I now have a unique understanding and appreciation of the value of their skills, professionalism, compassion and humanity and am deeply grateful for all everything they have done for me in my time of need.Thank you
"the excellent post op care I received from the Lurgan District Nursing Team"
