"Proper patient-centred care"

About: Borders General Hospital / Ophthalmology

(as the patient),

My first visit to the eye clinic after relocating from England.  The clinic was excellent, from reception, the staff completing various eye tests and the Consultant.  Everyone was very good at explaining exactly what would happen, and at the same time making you feel like a respected person in your own right, proper patient-centred care.   The consultant took time to explain my diagnosis and I didn't feel rushed or patronised.  Such a completely different experience to my previous hospital clinic.  Also the coffee from the RVS at the entrance is excellent!
