"Feeling lucky to have such a service."

About: One Recovery Bucks / Aylesbury

(as a service user),

I just want to highlight the amazing service ORB Aylesbury has provided throughout my recovery, without access to the service I really wouldn't be here and their on-going support has given me another chance at life.

I would like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to my key worker Sophie.  I have never felt judged or uncomfortable and been able to finally open up about things I can't tell my friends and family which has made me able to see why I became an addict and how I need to tackle keeping sober.

She highlights my strengths and weaknesses in a way that suits me as a person and really provides me with the tailored support I need.  We all do and deal with things differently and she took the time to really get to know my back story and me as a person so that the support she provided me would be manageable as well as achievable.

I think it's so important to give recognition for the hard work that goes into running this service as it really does save people and we are lucky to have such a service accessible to all.

Thank you One Recovery Bucks

Thank you papacb68 for your great feedback. Your words completely sum up what we try to do, how we try to do it and why we do it.

The relationship with your key-worker is a key cornerstone to your recovery, so for this to work so well and on so many levels is great. We try to allocate each individual client to a worker via a best fit approach, and it is pleasing hear Sophie has taken the time to understand and listen to you.

I will be sure to share your feedback with Sophie (please can you let us know which Sophie?) and the rest of the Team.

Be sure to look at our timetable next time you are in service and consider attending our Your Voice meeting each Friday, to help continue to share your views and develop our service.

Thank you again for your words and great feedback.

My key worker is Sophie at Aylesbury and yes, I think the session on Friday would be good for me.

Many thanks for your response.
