"Treated with care and respect"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

I recently called Ward 6 for advice about early pregnancy. I spoke with a very professional and empathetic nurse called Laura. I really appreciated how she explained the reasons for the way to manage what I presented with, that she gave information that helped with reassurance, and answered all of our questions. She made me feel very heard and followed up with the doctor which provided an extra layer of reassurance.

I was treated with absolute care and respect and I am extremely grateful. I hope that Laura knows what she does, that it does not go unnoticed and makes a real difference to the patient experience.

Dear Bluesky93

Thank you for taking the time to submit your Care Opinion. Coming to hospital can be very daunting and it is so nice to hear that you were treated with care and respect when you were seen within the early pregnancy service.

I will ensure that Laura is aware of the positive impact she has had on your recent experience.

Best wishes,

Kirsty MacInnes

Department Manager / Senior Midwife
