We owe a huge debt of gratitude to the wonderful staff of Roxborough House, Moy, who cared for my mother for 3 weeks in March/ April 2023 after a very lengthy stay in Craigavon Hospital. Typically, transitioning to a new phase and setting is a very anxious time in any patient’s recovery, but our experience in Roxborough was so pleasant and positive from the outset.
It is a beautiful, homely environment that is bright and spotlessly clean. Staff work tirelessly and willingly to ensure that patients are comfortable and well cared for. It is so obvious, from the perspective of a relative who spent considerable time visiting in Roxborough, that this is a dedicated, kind and caring team.
Mum received such a warm and sincere welcome on her arrival, and was always treated with great dignity and encouragement.
Staff were very professional, patient and helpful with us, and were extremely thorough and very quick to act on both occasions when mum became unwell. This was really reassuring and much appreciated.
Staff were supportive of mum, and their encouragement helped her to become more confident and independent. She made good progress during her stay, and this has enabled her to achieve her final goal - to return home, something we feared might never happen.
There are too many staff to name personally, but please know that your kindness, dedication and good humour will be fondly remembered by all of us. Mum really enjoyed her stay with you, and spoke so highly of all staff involved with her care and rehabilitation.
To each and every person who helped mum, in any capacity, thank you for everything; we are so grateful. You are an absolutely fantastic team.
