"Fall at home"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Orthopaedics

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I had a fall at home and came into hospital at 9.00 this morning. I have fractured my wrist and am just awaiting an operation to set the broken bone as it was quite a severe break. So far, I have no complaints whatsoever- the staff so far have been really lovely and very reassuring. The ward is immaculate from what I gather, which is no surprise as the cleaners are busy the entire day. As I have been fasting for my upcoming operation, I haven’t been given a proper meal. Overall, I am happy with the care that I have received in the past 24 hours.

Hello

Thankyou for taking the time to give the orthopaedic ward your feedback. I am pleased that the staff were able to reassure you at such a difficult time. It is not nice falling and sustaining a fracture. I will pass your feedback onto the nursing and cleaning staff. Everybody is working very hard.

I take this opportunity to wish you a full recovery following your operative.

Kind regards

Ward sister
