"Fantastic caring people at Lanarkshire Beatson"

My wife has just come to the end of a run of 4 weeks daily radiotherapy at the Lanarkshire Beatson. I have been with her every day. 

I just want to say that the whole experience has been made very easy, very comfortable and very stress-free by the outstanding staff. From the moment you walk into the building, it is like a haven of rest and calm. A lot of this is due to the wonderful people on the front desk who look after everyone so well. This makes what we expected to be quite a daunting experience very warm. And a special word for Kim who stayed behind to make sure that the ritual of ringing the bell after the final treatment was memorable. 

My wife was looked after in an exemplary fashion at every step of the way. All of the staff were very open and helpful. The review meeting with Julie was really helpful and we move on very confident now. 

The provision of complimentary therapies to patients (and their families) is such a bold and useful extra as well. We have an hour's journey each way and on the days when we had appointments with Gail and Zoe, all the pressure of the motorway  just melted away.
