"Life destroying experience!"

About: Queen Alexandra Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

Was admitted to a&e after having fits was told in the ambulance that I hadn't had a "FIT" was kept waiting hours when I did see a doctor he didn't think I was needing any medical help so sent me home, at which point I had 2 further fits and ended back in a&e.

After much waiting and three more fits I was taken into the assessment ward where I was as I can only describe as treated like an animal. I was having many fits and was losing bodily functions, which I was left to deal with myself, in fact I was ignored while I was fitting!

The staff I met were rude. As I was having one fit I came round to a man restraining me and was twisting my wrist which my husband and teenage daughter had to witness. I was transferred to the cardiology department which was a huge relief.
