I fell out of bed not realising what was happening, when the ambulance crew came they said I may have had a Stroke. I was taken to Ninewells Hospital, then I was moved to Cameron Hospital after 3 weeks.
Whilst arriving there I was very confused , but the staff made me feel comfortable when I came on the ward. I have felt comfortable during my personal care, everything was explained to me and what would be happening. I began Physiotherapy straight away . They have been very encouraging and helpful. Occupational Therapy have been great with me also encouraging me . I have been able to practise my hand writing and join in with activities which is very important to me. . Myself and my Husband have been listened to and the ward has been very accommodating.
Food has been great, never go hungry. The beds are okay. The ward is clean and tidy. The only complaint I have is the bathrooms, they are not suitable for Stroke Patients and are very cold.
SCN Ward has been great, she organised several meetings to help my husband and I . The staff have helped me every step of the way.
