"Top marks for treatment"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Emergency Department University Hospital Wishaw / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I fell and fractured my wrist last Thursday. Treated at Hairmyres A&E dept where my wrist was manipulated under sedation. Staff were very informative and reassuring- top marks.

Received a call to have surgery at the trauma day clinic Wishaw. Op took place yesterday ( Sunday). Again, very attentive staff who took time to explain the procedure and offer reassurance. Personal approach was greatly appreciated. Again, top marks.

Pain relief is effective. Hoping for a positive outcome at my follow up appt in two weeks.

Dear Promenader,

Thank you for taking the time to feedback to us about your recent experience at University Hospitals Hairmyres and Wishaw.

It can be a worrying time attending hospital for treatment following an injury, I am delighted our friendly team put you at ease and ensured you were fully informed. Your positive feedback and thanks will give the teams a much needed boost and I will be sure to feed this back to them.

I hope you are recovering well and your follow up appointment goes well.

Kind regards,

Jenni
