Anything else?
I found myself unexpectedly being admitted following an initial visit to the Urgent Care centre and a referral from there to A&E. Waiting times wer good - mind you it was 4 am when I turned up at Urgent Care. I was in A&E by 5am and on the Surgical Assessment ward (SAU) by 7 am. Staff were all excellent, personable and caring. They kept me well informed and my care was first class throughout the day - which included an operation under general anaesthetic, before finally being discharged at 7.30 pm. Special thanks to nurses who made the day bearable and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the SAU staff having experienced them first hand. I can also confirm the food I ate in the evening was a dramatic improvement from what I had the last time I was in there about 10 years ago - tastier and hotter with enough choice. Big thanks to the staff.
