"Social worker"

About: Community Mental Health Services / North Community Mental Health Team

(as a service user),

When I came off my holiday the social worker was texting me to ask to arrange a meeting with them. I was confused because I already had a meeting arranged, so my dad texted them back asking if it was still on and they said no because I asked them to speak to someone.

I phoned my social worker angry, asking if all appointments were cancelled then I went quiet. They decided to hang up the phone and texted saying that they had no opportunity to answer me. When they did the next appointment, they didn’t turn up at my house. They texted my dad to say that they were not going as I blocked their number.

I ended up self harming and feeling suicidal all because of my social worker. I phoned to ask to talk to the duty worker. No response for almost 2 weeks as the admin staff put it through to my social worker who in turned didn’t phone on the day they were meant to turn up. I got the blame of phoning 100 times where there’s no evidence that it was me and they told my dad about it.

Social worker has  failed to get the support sorted out in a timely manner, as I didn’t like the person who was supporting me. Now the social worker only emailed the manager of the company and nothing was getting done about it. Earlier last month, still nothing. Still accepting that they are still finding someone so I texted the manager saying that they didn’t care if I got support or not and my social worker got me into trouble, saying this is not how to deal with it.

After the holiday, my social worker turned around and said that the company can’t find anyone else to support me now. I’m struggling without it and it feels like the social worker doesn’t care if I self harm or feel suicidal. It has gotten to the point where if they mess me around one more time I’m going to overdose as they seem to get away with not doing anything. I have tried to talk to the social worker manager. They have not returned the phone call when they spoke to my dad which isn’t on either.

All my relationships with the CMHT has ended in the same way, where I overdose because they mess me around not turn up for appointments make excuses etc. I've been with them for years and now I was wrongly diagnosed with borderline personality disorder and I now have autism. I find this unreal.
