I ended up in the ERI A&E department mid march 2023 after taking ill suddenly although there was a long tedious wait the staff where lively I got discharged before my Dr sent me back to the A&E two days later. I was triaged and then taken to wait in pod A before being moved to emergency observation. Every step of the way the kindness and compassion of the nurses and Dr was amazing.
I was then sent to the western admitted to the emergency surgery unit where again the care and compassion was unreal. 3 days after arriving at the A&E I was taken to surgery, terrified, nervous but the whole anesthetic team put me at ease and as I came round from surgery the nurse sitting by my bed side making sure I was ok. Giving me the greatest kindness and reassurance allowing me to feel safe, even with minor complications I will forever be grateful for and cannot thank that one nurse in particular.
The A&E waits may have been horrendous but the kindness and compassion from the staff made thing much more easier and I will be forever grateful!
"The kindness of everyone"
