About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Acute Stroke Unit (Ward 6)

(as the patient),

Hi on 24th of march i was admitted to ward 6 after suffering a stroke . The care and compassion i received from both nurses and drs was exceptional , i was treated by both Dr Higgins and Dr Mo who were very kind and caring and explained everything to me perfectly . Both nightshift and dayshift nurses  that took excellent care of me  and consoled me when times were hard  including clinical support Abbie, i wish to thank them from from the bottom of my heart they made a very frightening experience less traumatic with their fabulous kindness and hugs. Also the hostesses and domestic were amazing and very attentive, thanks once again.

Thank you for taking the time to share such positive feedback following your admission to ward 6. It is lovely to read your comments regarding exceptional care and that staff took time to explain what was happening. Any admission to hospital can be a worrying time and it is so important that you feel informed and supported.

I will share your comments with all the staff that you have kindly mentioned as well as the wider team. The whole unit works closely together to ensure that the optimum standard of care is provided and they will all appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. Your feedback is very much appreciated.
