About: The Princess Royal Maternity Unit / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

Had a slightly longer than planned stay in Wd 56, starting in January. What an excellent unit. It’s very busy yet the staff all work so well together and appear happy at work. 

The relationship between all staff seemed very good, doctors on ward rounds were lovely. Being resident for so long I also got chatting to most staff, the domestic services, mealtime trolley staff and even the ward clerkess arriving mornings and on my walks. My care was great. I was not only cared for physically but emotionally. I was listened to, a big step in healing. I was encouraged to buzz if needed and nothing seemed a problem. I’m not looking for a return visit but wouldn’t worry if I needed to. Huge thanks to all who met me
